This is truly a classic. At it’s time it was the scariest movie, because opposed to thriller/scary movies of today it is all realistic. The movie showed the conventions very well. From the famous thundering music of whenever Jaws approaches to the intense drama od each character not knowing if they will soon become meal for this gigantic killer. The movie had a good blend of drama and surprising moments, such as when Hooper decends to view the ship you would think he would get caught by the shark but instead stumbles upon a dead corpse which in its sense is surprising. The perfect enemy of the movie is Jaws an oversized great white shark which comes upon Amitville’s beaches. A perfect senario for utter madness and blood and victims. The moive satyed true to its genre howver revoutionized it in a unique way.

Good
It was the iconic and classic movie which set the benchmark to thriller/horror films. The story was great, evolving from a simple attack to an all out duel with one of nature’s oldest and strongest killers. The acting was great. You can sense the tension in the faces and voices as the sharked approached and the fear when he killed. The cast did an amazing job each portaying their characters well. The music was amazing too. The music when Jaws appraches must be the most iconic song from a movie. It does a great job in raising the tension which a movie in this genre strives upon. The camera angles were great too, changing from water to boat or land was great. Another great job was Jaws itself. The effects were great, being the massive shark which was in fact mechanical. I found allot of effort was made for the movie and me as a viewer appreciated that. There are also some attacks which seem unrealistic like the first victim who is dragged along the water side to side.

Cons
Even though the movie was a huge hit and a benchmark classic, it still isn’t perfect. The music was great however it somehow ruined the moment once you heard it because you understood what was going to happen. From the actors there could have been some more scenes interacting with the city which could have better prooved their involvedment such as riots and outbreaks towards the stubborn mayor or maybe have less of a dimwitted population not heading warning from officials. They felt to me out of it compared to the stellar performances of the main cast. Their involvement could have contributed better. The story was great, however they could have been more creative without jeperdising the reality of the shark attak scenario. Some scenes were obvious and so were the attacks there could have been more mystery and shots of the great white.

Over all this was a great movie which I enjoyed allot and had fun watching. It was entertaining and had a good mixture of suspense and horror. Im sure allot of people will think twice before gowing to the beaches! I would recommend this movie to men from the ages of 15-55, since it has a great mixture of violence, horror and suspense which men like in movies. I would not recommend it to anyone bellow the ages of 12 since there is blood and gore which is not suitable to a young audience. I would not recommend this movie to women since there is no love or romance, but death, attacks and suspense. I would also not recommend this movie to older ages as by the years they would not like such movies which may scare them or be out of taste towards them. May this movie remain a classic for years to come!

The first thing we learned was how to take a great photograph. We learned first of all much theories of how to do so all with new and fascinating terms such as the rule of thirds, color and black and white levels and so fourth. I wasn’t so much the theories that interested me as first but the project that would be given to us later. We had to find a photograph in our family which was old then restore it using photoshop something else we learned which I really enjoyed. We then with the knowledge of how to take pictures, tried our very best to reproduce it. We then needed to perfect it by editing and finally our end result were two pictures which told a story.

In theme with photgraphy and editing we were then tested with our creativity and if we understood photgraphy principals. We were required to take pictures, use our creativity and show our understanding. I had allot of fun taking my pictures editing them as well as watching others take theirs and have fun.

We then, after the midyear point focused our attention to films and filming. At first I tought we would learn about how to take a film, but instead we learned about how a film is made and produced. I was skeptical at first however the manner which Mr. Penning tought us was fun and we even got to create our own movies, such as the actors, story, turning points and then present it to our peers as if we were selling our movie to top hollywood producers. It was really enjoyable to do, especially since it was new for me and it brought forth my creativity. That is why i believe media is important in any school, because you express yourself in ways just writing essays can never do. You can come up with crazy ideas, but some audience out there will apreciate it and become a fan. You learn new things in great ways, and its a fun change to the usual subjects. My favorite experience was when I got to recreate a photograph of my uncle and his dog. I never really knew about his dog that was shared with my dad since he passed away, but because of this experince I was able to appreciate him and leran about him. Fot that recreation of the photograph I used my personnal puppy for the picture to show translation of how a man can grow but he will always be a kid in heart. Media for me has brought me happyness and experince so I can use at home to crop, edit pictures and have a critical eye on movies which we finishged doing in term 4. I would especially like to thank Mr. Penning for the oppertunity and for being a great mentor and teacher.

The movie did very well to stay loyal and true to the conventions and style of the genre which is action. It is also did well to incorperate and unusual theme in action which was in fact the surfing. It was very original and worked well in relation to the fight sequences for example. Ther were explosions such as when Bohdi disguised as an ex-president puts a car on fire using gasoline. There are chase sequences, like when Johny tries to catch the gang by car, and on foot once Bohdi had no oppertunity to use an automobile. There are also many fight sequences, like at the beach when he confronts a gang, and Bohdi saves him, and when he presumably catches the robbers and starts a raid but it was the wrong group. There is also allot of swearing in the movie which may not be at everyone’s taste.

Pros
The movie found a great way to adapt an original and unique way to make a action movie incorperating surfing which was never used. The action sequences are great, full of intensity and sometimes humour like when the woman beat up Johny in the shower. The shooting sequences are great and the fighting was also stellar. Something that I want to aknowledge that most of the scenes and the movie itself was created with no computer effects and most of the stunts were done by the actors themselves. Mr. Penning also informed us that this movie was a base of many great movies today and and inspiration to them aswell. Such as fast and the furious which replaced surfing with illegal underground racing. It was also mentioned that the ex-presidents was also first use in this movie.

Cons
The movie did lack a bit of storyline and believability. The acting was horrendous by the part of Keanu Reeves, who was just not up to par as the late Patrick Swayze. Thoughout the movie whether the scene was dramatic or happy Keanu Reeves did not express himself with any belief and seemed quite amateurish and robotic with simple expressions and monotone voice, which brought the movie down horribly. Another thing that I did not enjoy was how the movie seemed to flow longer than was necessary. There were plenty of chances to stop Swayze but Johny too coward refused to. Such as when Swayze got away with a gun aimed at him, while Reeves was down injured after the fall. There was also like in most actions movies unrealistic scenarios were nobody seems to die, such as Johny and the lawn mower scene. It seems the protagonist is superhuman in the fact that he can resist death but everyone else dies so easily except the anagonist which creates the final stand. The ending was also dissapointing, proving worthless, as Johny lets him go to kil himself rather than bringing in his first criminal.
I give this movie a deserved 7/10, the action was great but the storyline and acting was horrible

3) How does this film live up to the expected conventions?
     The film does very well to respect its genre as well as give a great entertaining value. Reuben and Polly meet, after he leaves his wife who has an affair with a scuba diver on their honeymoon. Reuben and Polly both share some awkward funny moments between eachother. Reuben also looses her once she finds out about his program and that she was the clear, less risky choice. However he pulls it together, and regains her love. There is allot of humour, sexual references and a good looking girl which is Jennifer Aniston.

I really enjoyed the movie. It was very funny but also had a heartwarming story behind it. My favorite moment was when Sandy Lile was in the meeting. The story line was great, Reuben isn’t known as the risk taker but when he meets Polly he learns to welcome a wilder side and full of exitement. I applaud the director for choosing a great set of actors each having their interesting and quality points. Ben Stiller, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Alec Baldwin are all very funny while Jennifer Aniston and Debra Messing are both very beautiful. I especially like the work of Hank Azaria, his character was very funny. When we saw the outtakes we can witness that a lot of time and talents were used to produce the film. Like when it ran we saw in the end the movie looked phenomenal. Along Came Polly is a great movie, interesting as well as funny. I would recomment it to anyonw, except younger kids due to the sexual referances. Guys would like it aswell because it is funny, and it will all remind them of what they also had to go through to get their loves of their lives.

The reason is because there is a drought of kids/ family movies during this month the only previous being Dragons in march and Iron Man 2 afterwards in May. Compared to any other time of the upcoming year this is probably the best due to the surprising amount of movies in the genre.

• Who is this movie directed to?

This Movie is directed towards kids and families due to its animated nature and wild imagination. Older members will appreciate it as well due to the comedy and references to PCs that children might not pick up. Although the movie is intended for everyone , they’re might be fewer teenagers because they generally believe that animated movies are more for kids or are they too old for it.

• Why will this movie be a succes?

This movie will be a success because it is directed to the second highest spenders (kids). It has a relatively low budget and high profit. It is the only one in its genre to be released for a while. Finally we have very high profile actors (such as Will Smith).

the actors budget is of that of 25% of our total budget: 25% of $103m = $25.75m

*due to the movie being that of an animation the normal salary of each actor was cut in half in they will only need to be voice-acting

What if your anti-virus was alive?

treatment:

S1: Inside a computer at the cyber-defense office, an older anti-virus portrayed as a cop is going to bust a generic virus who is slowing everybody down at the main intersection of the computer.

Tp1: Since the main character is getting old a new anti-virus partners up with him to learn before he goes into retirement.

S2: both our protagonists go to bust a trojan virus but the rookie tries to show off and messes things up only to be saved by the veteran

Tp2: in the real world its bring your kids to work day and a child accidentally downloads a huge virus on to the computer and its up to the heroes to find and delete this virus before it wipes out the entire system.

S3: the heroes are trying to locate the virus while the veteran tries to teach the rookie how to be a good cop, although he is very hard-headed and doesn’t listen resulting in multiple arguments.

Tp3: our heroes figure out that the virus is attempting to download all the codes from this computer as well as the main servers so that he can wipe out all of the cyber-defenses and consequently all important governmental documents.

S4: our heroes go to fight this virus but they are too late for he has already taken control of most of the system.

Tp4: the virus has become to powerful and with the system on his side he overpowers our heroes capturing the veteran and fleeing to a secret location to commence the system deletion program. plus many people and things in this computer have become hostile under the viruses control.

S5: the rookies takes all of the veterans advice to heart and goes back to hq and gets a new 7th gen anti-virus equipment before going to face off the virus in a final epic battle. along the way a survivor of the viruses control gives the rookie a special glove and tells him to use it when the time is right.

Tp5: the rookie, using the power of his new sui,t  saves the vetreanand uses the glove to punch the virus so hard that a flaming fox comes out of his fist and carries the virus up in the air before deleting it in a magnificent fiery explosion that can be seen throughout the system.  

S6: the veteran has full confidence in the rookie and is happy to retire and give his post as head of the anti-viruses to him.

On a bright summer day, In June 1979, playing in the yard my Uncle posed to take a picture of Bobby his Golden Cocker Spaniel and Himself having fun. The new photo was created to complete the memorabilia in which  Booby had accomplished and the lives that he touched being a dependable friend and honorable dog. It is also a motive for the future in which Rocky would learn to touch those hearts and accomplish those action, while still a memory of  the life and passing of a dear friend. I also wanted to accomplish a state of change where when grow so do our thoughts but not our ambitions and loves. My uncle loved Bobby with his heart, and even though Rocky is my dog and not his he can always remember, he can love again and fill the hole damaged once more. He can remember what it was to be a kid, no problems in the world and to have someone to always talk to. He can also remember who he did his fun with, where and when. Now in this new picture Rocky is present, it is the same yard, same Uncle and same memories.

• I believe that this case study is very serious, since it can affect his life at any age. He will always be in Google images and that can tarnish his reputation at school and university. The caption will always have his name on it and he will always be remembered
• This can affect me the same way it affected Jared.  I have a Facebook account and if I were at a  party and I drank coke, but it was mistaken for beer, I could easily be suspended. Although I am not sure that the school views such personal accounts.
